‘1948’ is a story about the South African National Party as it comes into power in 1948 and embarks on a policy of Apartheid which is an an Afrikaans word meaning «separateness».

In the midst of this new NP system is a cafe owner, Tony Mzila, who becomes caught up in the new laws.
